A set of 4 new Genuine Oilite bushes to replace worn countershaft bushes on the Myford ML7 lathe.

Please note that the correct inside diameter of an Oilite® bush is obtained through the compression of the bush by the hole it is being pressed into - the bores in the ML7 swing head have a tendency to be slightly tapered so there may be a degree of fitting needed to obtain the correct fit.

Hope to be fitting these countershaft bushes shortly, once I have made up the correct spacers to remove/fit the old very worn parts. the price was very good and delivery time excellent .hope to do business again soon

I ordered a set of four countershaft bushes and a new drive belt. Both arrived within two days of the order. The drive belt is a perfect fit as it is, no need to take any links out. The oilite bushes take a little bit of fettling, I'd never done this job before; they are supplied slightly oversize. No good pressing them in like that as all that will happen is the bore will pinch on the shaft. As I was fitting a new ground surface shaft I needed this to be right, so it was for me a trial and error job making each bush the right fit in the housing. Of course, the four housings were slightly different from each other so it meant numbering the bushes to their corresponding locations. I'm happy to say I got three of them spot on for size, and one I went a little too far and it pressed in by hand. But it's all back together and given a lathe 67 years old a few more years of life.
