PowerTwist Plus link belt to fit the Myford Super 7 and the ML7-R lathe.

Ordered wednesday, came this morning, cleaned pullys with brake/clutch cleaner, now got drive with no thump/thump, turning finish so much better fitted in correct direction of travel and you will find no problem with heavy cuts/

Absolutely recommended. Super 7 developed a very noisy deep rumble some years ago, to the point that I thought that I was damaging something. Replaced and adjusted the rear spindle bearings, replaced the countershaft bushes and thrust bearing. Changed the belts (redid the headstock!), new standard Myford belts, belt tension. New ball bearings in the motor. Eventually thought I would have to change the motor. Fenner belts. Bingo. Silence. Just a nice whistle in top range, as if the lathe was new. The noise and rumble was gone, the machine was no longer vibrating, belt tension is lower so less load on the bearings, and the finish on the work is much better. Brilliant. Who would have thought belts could cause so much noise and vibration, despite being adjusted as per the book - and many other ways too! Superb.

The drive belt on my Myford super 7 had seen forty four years of service and was showing it's age with cracks and slippage. Ordered a new one from Lathe Spares which was delivered quickly and was fitted in a few minutes. It just needed one link removing, fitting the correct way round and now no slipping, less vibration and so quiet I thought I had gone deaf. Happy days. Thanks Mike.

Instructions on how to fit the Fenner belt and it's type would have been useful,but I got the info from the Fenner website in the end and fitted it easily. The Myford oil nipples replaced the ball oilers on my Colchester tailstock and mounted on suitable small pillars, were used to fit a Vernier type DRO to the tailstock. Thanks for the very rapid service, the parcel came next day!

Excellent product!! easy to fit just had to remove one link to get a good fit on my Super 7 and it ran very quiet and smooth. Not sure how some of these belts get some bad press,,,,this one is superb and highly recommended.Really did not want to strip out all the running gear just to fit a standard belt and this saves all the faff,,,,,D
